Fans call off silent protest as Celts boss makes peace call

BRENDAN RODGERS hopes peace can break out at Celtic after fans called off their vow of silence for tonight's visit of Braga.

The Celtic Fans Collective last night announced they were scrapping the protest planned for the first 29 minutes of the home Europa League clash after Parkhead chiefs agreed to meet with supporters' groups.

“We welcome the club’s decision to meet and engage directly on the issues raised,” read a Celtic Fans Collective statement.

“However, we remain under no illusions about the scale of change still required at board level.
