Borthwick's men set for Boks test in Nations Cup

ENGLAND are set to play world champions South Africa, plus Argentina and Fiji, in the away legs of the new Nations Cup next summer.

The Test match league, which has been planned for about five years, is combining the summer and autumn internationals before a finals series, which will be staged in November.

Fiji want to have their home games in Europe to start with, as many of their players are employed there, but England would have to travel to South Africa and Argentina.

England will play New Zealand, Australia and Japan at home before the last leg, with Twickenham lobbying to host the first showpiece finale, where the top-placed European team will face the best-ranked side from the rest of the world.

Six Nations countries, those from the Rugby Championship, plus Fiji and Japan, will take part in the tournament, which will be staged every two years.
