This week, the extraordinary woman that is Betty Brown, the oldest surviving victim of the Post Office Horizon scandal, was looking in both directions - behind her, and what havoc the last quarter of a century has wrought on her lifeand ahead, at her ambitions for 2026.

Not bad, for a woman of 92. Quite a place to stand, on a watershed of suffering on one side and achievement and hope on the other.
