ADvTECH Schools' contribution to sustainability recognised

THE Wildlife and Environment Society of South Africa (WESSA) has recognised ADVTECH's schools’ division for its contribution and commitment to sustainability and the environment, with 38 schools receiving bronze awards at a recent ceremony and others earning diamond and platinum, among other notable achievements.

Academic Head at ADVTECH Schools, Desiree Hugo,, said the group recognises the critical role that educational institutions play in shaping the future, and that education must be transformed to respond to global environmental challenges.

She adds that ADVTECH'’s partnership with WESSA aims to empower students to become active stewards of the planet who are not only academically proficient but also environmentally conscious and socially responsible.

In recognition of significant strides made, 38 schools received a Bronze Award. Notable achievements included:
