Jio tops data internet, call setup success rate in TRAI tests

Reliance Jio has emerged as the top performer in data internet speed and call setup success rate, while Bharti Airtel recorded the least call drops in the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India’s (TRAI) latest drive tests conducted in March 2025.

The independent tests assessed the quality of voice and data services offered by mobile operators across various highways, cities, rail routes, and coastal areas.
TRAI evaluated parameters such as call setup success rate, call drop rate (DCR), mean opinion score (MOS) for speech quality, voice packet drop rate, call silence rate, and coverage.
