Staff at NHS Lanarkshire’s Flow Navigation Centre Plus (FNC+Plus) have been praised by Health Secretary Neil Gray for their role in driving “meaningful, people-centred reform across the health and care system”.
Mr Gray, who is also MSP for Airdrie & Shotts, recently visited the FNC+ hub in Bothwell to mark the launch of the Scottish Government's Operational Improvement Plan, which sets out how the NHS will improve access to treatment, reduce waiting times and shift the balance of care from hospitals to communities.
Speaking from Kirklands Hospital, Mr Gray described the work of NHS Lanarkshire teams as exemplary - and said the efforts being made across the organisation were providing “real hope” at a time of national challenge.
“I'm so grateful to the staff here at NHS Lanarkshire for the work that’s being done to make sure we're meeting the needs of the people,” said Mr Gray.
