THROUGHOUT much of 2023 and 2024, President Trump promised the USA would broker a ‘very easy’ 24-hour peace negotiation between Ukzaine and Russia.
‘As with prior bouts, fact and reality took a different tack.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio said this week the US would ‘move on’ in ‘a matter of days’ from peace efforts as progress proved slow. This, despite US envoy Witkoff having only attended Moscow days ago and termed talks ‘compelling’
Russia never budged on conditions: it demands full control of four Ukrainian regions it partially occupies plus regime change in Kyiv while denying compromise like European peacekeepers stationed in Ukraine.
Symbiosis and trade integration between the EU and USA is colossal. Historically, Europe bought American armaments, goods and services in enormous quantity.
