Major expansion slated for apartment block

Runcorn Weekly News

October 02, 2025

A TOWN centre apartment block could be massively expanded if plans are given the green light.

A planning application has been submitted to Halton Borough Council to construct a new block at Midwood House in Travis Street in Widnes, which would increase the number of apartments by more than a third.

The former office complex is located near Widnes Police Station and a change of use application was submitted by property firm Osborne House in 2016 to convert it into a residential development.
