LUKE Wall has committed his future to Runcorn Linnets in another big boost to preparations for the new season.

- BY DAVE BETTLEY

The former Bala Town winger made 50 appearances as a regular in his debut season at the club - only Adam Moseley, with 51, playing more times.

Wall who has also featured in the 10 position, scored six goals and made a significant contribution with the number of assists both in open and set plays.

His trusted left foot has been a major weapon in Linnets' attacking armoury, be it from shots or crosses.

Manager Brad Cooke is delighted to have the 28-year-old on board again for his first full campaign in charge.

The boss said: “It's no secret how much I rate Wally.

“He is a brilliant lad and a big character in the changing room, who everyone respects.

“I am made up he's agreed to stay. He has had plenty interest from other clubs, so for him to commit shows how much he enjoys being at this football club.

“I am looking forward to working with him again, He’s a special player!”
