Bridge to serve housing scheme approved

PLANS for a road bridge across the Bridgewater Canal to serve a massive housing development have been given the go-ahead.

Halton Council has backed an application by housing developer Redrow for the structure on land south of Delph Lane in Daresbury. The plans also included a section of spine road and associated infrastructure.

The area forms part of the wider Daresbury Strategic Site which includes Daresbury Garden Village, a housing development which will eventually include 800 properties across 120 acres.
