UK LANDLINES are quickly becoming a thing of the past, with fewer homes than ever opting to have the service installed in favour of mobile phones.

Over 1.5 million homes will no longer be able to sign up for and use ageing copper technology as BT's Openreach has announced that it has issued a new ‘Stop Sell’ alert in over 160 locations, including Rochdale.
