Double winners close out with thrilling victory

SALFORD Victoria have enjoyed a great season in the L and C winning a great double of the Premier division championship and the Rhodes Cup.

They concluded their season with a very entertaining derby at AFC Monton on a goals-filled encounter.
Monton took the early advantage to lead 2-1 at the break with Jack Kimmins and Jack Cobbett netting.
Vics levelled early in the second half but Kimmins bagged his second to restore the Monton lead.
Vics then upped their game and showed why they were double win ners as they stormed back to complete their season with a super 6-3 win.
Netting for Vics were Sam Birkett (three), Paul Villier, Cam Woodhouse and an own goal.
