Claire’s Accessories to close Exchange shop

CLAIRE’S Accessories is set to close 145 branches across the UK and Ireland - including the shop in Rochdale - after it agreed a sale to investment group Modella Capital.

Administrators at Interpath announced that the chain’s future on UK high streets had been secured with the majority of its business and assets sold to Modella.
However, 145 shops weren’t included as part of the deal, putting around 1,000 jobs at risk.
Interpath had said it would keep those branches open as usual for as long as it could while it assesses options for them.
