The Mumbai Police’s Economic Offences Wing (EOW) is likely to question producer-director Ekta Kapoor and actors Bipasha Basu and Neha Dhupia, in connection with the alleged Rs 60 crore fraud involving Best Deal TV Pvt Ltd, a now-defunct company that was run by actor Shilpa Shetty and her businessman husband Raj Kundra.
According to reports, the EOW will soon send formal requests seeking details of payments received by these celebrities for promoting Best Deal TV—once touted as India’s first celebrity-based teleshopping channel.
