Concerned over depletion of tree cover, DOA, CNI, holds tree plantation drive

Concerned over the depleting tree cover caused by the indiscriminate felling of trees, and its adverse impact on the environment in the form of increasing air pollution, extreme temperatures, and erratic weather, the Diocese of Amritsar (DoA), Church of North India (CNI), organized a tree plantation drive at St Paul's Church, Amritsar, urging the masses to plant more trees to restore ecological balance.
The tree plantation drive aims to enhance green cover, reduce carbon footprint, support local ecosystems, and foster community engagement and environmental stewardship.Led by The Right Reverend Manoj Charan, Bishop, Diocese of Amritsar, Church of North India, the diocesan functionaries and the congregants of the churches under the purview of DoA, CNI, planted custard apple trees considering their nutritional benefits and adaptability to the local climate.
