"As long as equality is incomplete, Ambedkar's India too remains incomplete."

SPECIAL FEATURE ON NIRVANA DAY
-
On 26 November, the nation celebrated Constitution Day and paid tribute to Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar.
Today, on 6 December, the whole country remembers him on his Nirvana Day. This occasion is not merely a tribute to a historical date, but also a call to return to the core ideology that Babasaheb established through the Constitution.
Dr. Ambedkar drafted the Constitution with the vision that Dalits, the poor, women, workers, and marginalized communities should receive such rights that centuries of social inequality could be erased. He believed that equality does not come merely by writing it into the law, but when every weak individual in society gets real opportunities. With this in mind, he provided fundamental rights related to education, employment, and judicial protection so that the deprived classes could gain equal status in society. Even after so many years, it remains a bitter truth that a large deprived section of the country is still drifting away from the mainstream. The increasing atrocities on the poor, social discrimination, and the difficulty in accessing justice show that Babasaheb's dream of India is still incomplete. Governments and lawenforcement systems are not playing the effective role they need to, especially for the poor.
