All India Inter University Archery (Boys and Girls) Championship 2025- 26 gets off to a grand start at Guru Kashi University

The All India Inter University Archery Boys and Girls Championship 2025-26 was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Padma Shri, Arjuna Awardee, Olympic Gold Medalist Harvinder Singh Dhanju at the new sports complex of Guru Kashi University, Talwandi Sabo. Dronacharya Awardee Jiwanjot Singh Teja, Director Training & Curriculum, Punjab was the Guest of Honour on the occasion. Dr. Rameshwar Singh, Vice Chancellor; Dr. Jagtar Singh Dhiman, Pro-Vice Chancellor; Dr. Piyush Verma, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Dr. Harjaspal Singh, Director, Campus, officials of the University, Deans of various faculties and faculty members were present on the occasion.

Chief Guest Dhanju in his presidential address motivated the players to practice sports with dedication and discipline. He said that there is a need to be healthy for high achievements. Referring to the gold medal won at the Paris Olympics, he said nothing is impossible in the world if a player is determined. He said students should join sports along with studies.
