Kavanagh gears up for Durban women's race

TAYLA Kavanagh is gearing up for the Totalsports Women's Race Durban, hoping to extend a consistent run of form that has taken her to a win and two top-10 finishes in three 10km events on home soil this year.

Kavanagh clocked 34:20 to win the Durban International Marathon 10km race on May 4. She finished fifth at the Spar Women’s 10km Challenge in Durban (32:32) on June 22. A challenging Absa Run Your City Durban 10K race on July 13 led to a tenth-place finish on July 13. in a time of 32:52.

Kavanagh, a familiar face at the Totalsports Women’s Race Durban, is excited to compete in her hometown once again on Sunday, August 3.

The first in a three-part series held annually in August, the Totalsports Women’s Race Durban features a fast and flat course perfect for runners aiming to set personal bests (PBs).
