Gosport's Trophy legend oversees Magpies' late, late win over Portchy
Portsmouth News
|October 27, 2025
As a player, Tim Sills enjoyed some great FA Trophy days.
Twice he reached a Wembley final, first losing with Torquay against Ebbsfleet in 2008 and again with Gosport Borough to higher tier Cambridge United six years later.
It was Sills who etched his name into Boro folklore that season, scoring all three of his side's goals in their two-legged semifinal win against Hawks.
Since hanging up his boots, Sills has carved out a name for himself into managemet.
After leading Hamworthy United to the club's first Wessex League Premier title in 2021-22, losing just once en route, he joined Wimborne Town.
Leading the Magpies into the Southern League Division 1 South playoffs in his first season, he oversaw a title-winning achievement 12 months later.
