Lack of report halts murder trial

The farm murder trial of Zacariah Olivier (61) and his co-accused William Musora was postponed in the Limpopo High Court in the city last Friday after the state confirmed it had not received a complete ballistic report from the defence.
The prosecutor, Adv George Sekhukhune told the court that although one report - the second segment of the defence's ballistics analysis - had been handed over, the main 13-page report had not yet been received. Only a shorter three-page report was provided, which Sekhukhune described as insufficient for the state to prepare its cross-examination.
