Valakari: Every Saint will fight to succeed in second tier

Simo Valakari insists St Johnstone have no divine right to be considered a title contender after dropping down to the Championship.

The Saints boss, pictured below, says every player must adopt the right mentality to succeed in the second tier.

He believes the Perth men will have a target on their backs after 16 years as a top flight team. And they will need to handle that dynamic well in order to stamp themselves as promotion challengers.

Valakari said: "Nobody is going to give us anything, nobody is going to make it easy for us.
