Saints clear second best at McDiarmid Park
St Johnstone were comfortably second best to a highly-motivated Dundee team as the Perth men lost their 24th Premiership game of the season.
Unlike a few of the damaging defeats which contributed to a rotten relegation season, there could be no complaints about this outcome.
There have been several hard-luck stories and harsh setbacks along the way.
But on the day that Saints were playing for pride, that incentive was insufficient to deal with Dundee and a terrific display by Lyall
