Weigh to go for slimmers

Two Paisley Buddies have shared their fitness journey and told how it has helped build lasting friendships.
Both David Maxwell and Fiona Robertson faced turning points in their lives which led them to embark on their health adventure.
David joined the Glenburn Slimming World group after what he describes as being at his “lowest ebb” when returning from a family holiday.
Coming in at just under 26 stone and living with Barrett’s Oesophagus, caused by long-term acid reflux, David found himself needing a seat belt extender on the flight home from Lanzarote and having to move seats as a result.
The “embarrassing” moment was the sign he says he needed to do something about his weight.
He signed up the very next day and, nearly a year on, has lost close to eight stone.
“That moment really hit me hard,” he said. “I knew something had to change.
“I've been a member before but this time I committed to staying.
“The group is everything - sharing ideas, supporting each other and knowing you're not on your own.
