'Vonn's decision to race was hers'

Lindsey Vonn's decision to compete in Sunday's women's downhill was for her to take, according to International Olympic Committee sports director Pierre Ducrey.

The 41-year-old damaged her ACL in a fall just over a week before the event at the Tofane Alpine Skiing Centre, but after successfully completing two practice runs of the Cortina course wearing a brace on her knee, Vonn was the 13th starter in the competition.
