Paisley book store partners with college to create covers
West College Scotland (WCS) teamed up with a Paisley book store as part of a design competition.
The Paisley college and Abbey Books launched the inaugural book jacket design challenge which sees students create new covers for old and unpublished books.
Celebrating local literature, emerging talent and the art of book design at WCS, it is a creative partnership that saw students from national certificate and higher national certificate graphic design and animation courses showcase their skills on a live, client-led project.
Described as a “landmark event” for the college and the local community, students are being provided with a professional platform to design original logos, book jackets and promotional materials for Paisley Publishing; a local imprint of Abbey Books.
