Strange show can't decide on its tone

Interesting but inconsistent viewing

Set in London, it sees the titular killer wreaking havoc on a team of police investigators, particularly Henry Lloyd-Hughes' DS Nathan Rose, with whom they appear to share a connection with.

Ragdoll is one of the stranger police-procedural shows I've seen. I went in expecting a straight-laced mystery but the tonal shifts are so wild, at times you feel like you're watching a surreal comedy.

Consequently, creator Freddy Syborn's series is never dull - and flies by at pace across its six episodes - but loses much of the tension and darkness it aims to create as the overriding themes.
