Standing in London Euston station a few months back, I listened to a number of warnings coming over the public address system.

SNP has squandered potential

Independent report Professor Sir Anton Muscatelli

Standing in the Scottish Parliament last week, I got a strange feeling of deja vu.

Pickpockets operate there, too, and, unlike Euston station, they are easily identifiable.

They are called the Scottish Government.

Of course, I'm not talking about the £600,000 that the SNP leadership have allegedly snaffled from their own membership.

We may find out about that in due course in a court case I could take more than a campervan of constituents to watch.

That is SNP members' money.

I'm talking about cash that belongs to all of us, and cash all of us could have benefitted from.

Audit Scotland has found that there is £1 billion John Swinney could have spent on our public services but he has not.

Shameful at a time when we are all short of money.
