Scotland needs new leadership
Paisley Daily Express
|September 09, 2025
We are all back at Holyrood and I am afraid we all face the same challenges.

Almost one million of us are on an NHS waiting list - 100,000 of us have been waiting more than a year.
The attainment gap in our schools shows little change. And as for an economic plan, well, John Swinney just doesn't have one.
In truth, our return to the Scottish Parliament is the start of the election campaign.
Whatever your view on the constitution, we cannot allow the SNP to continue to run the country into the ground.
We need a new direction. I have spent the summer on the ground, talking with the people of Paisley. I know our concerns, from casual violence on our streets to dog fouling, to the fact the town just seems run down.
We need the energy that only a new Scottish administration can bring. We need the drive and imagination of Anas Sarwar to kickstart the Scottish Government into delivering for all of us.
