Tomorrow, we will host a public event to mark the completion of the Clyde Waterfront and Renfrew Riverside project, which includes the new Renfrew Bridge, roads and walking and cycling routes.

- BY RENFREWSHIRE COUNCIL LEADER IAIN NICOLSON

Renfrew Bridge of opportunity

This is an important project for Renfrewshire as it opens up work, health, education and leisure opportunities on both sides of the river - with the potential for thousands of additional jobs, investment and developments to be brought to the riverside.

It will enhance connections between Renfrew, Clydebank and Yoker, as well as bringing new footfall to businesses in Renfrew town centre and Blythswood retail park, Braehead and Xsite, and over the water in Clydebank and Yoker too.

The bridge will bring greater access to the Advanced Manufacturing Innovation District Scotland (AMIDS) that we are developing next to Glasgow Airport and the thousands of high-quality jobs it is expected to bring in the coming years as Renfrewshire becomes a leader in the manufacturing and life science sectors.
