Pirates proud despite cup loss
Paisley Daily Express
|December 19, 2025
Paisley Pirates exited the Scottish Cup despite a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Whitley Warriors.
Sunday's second-leg win wasn't enough as Warriors progressed 5-3 on aggregate to the semifinals.
Pirates had a mountain to climb at Braehead Arena but gave the tie their best shot.
The team played with real character and intensity in the second leg as goals from Bari McKenzie and Ryan Campbell secured the win on the night.
It gave the home crowd plenty to cheer even though the deficit from the first encounter could not be overturned.
