Paisley Pirates suffered a heavy 7-2 defeat on Saturday when they travelled across the border to face Whitley Warriors in the Scottish National League.

Despite a spirited performance and no shortage of effort across the bench, Pirates came up short against a strong side at the Hillheads Road ice rink near Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
While the scoreline did not fall in the Paisley side’s favour, the effort and resilience on display was clear, according to head coach Ian Turley.
