A Renfrewshire MP has announced an "agreement has been reached" to secure the appointment of a factor to Clydeview Park in Renfrew.

- TAYLOR MURRAY

The community space lies within the Ferry Village residential development and has been plagued with issues since the area lost its original factor.

Problems include lack of ground maintenance, the build up of litter and overflowing communal bins attracting vermin.

Now, Paisley and Renfrewshire North MP Alison Taylor says the owners of the area have agreed to appoint 4th Property Limited who will take on responsibility for the area.

She said: "Since I was elected, I have visited Clydeview Park with residents to understand the scale of the neglect and I've had numerous meetings with the park owners, Sava Estates, their property advisors Shepherds and potential factoring firms.

"I have also met with other elected representatives in a bid to secure a solution to the longstanding park problems.
