Mossvale is officially top of the class after 'fantastic' inspection

Staff and pupils at a Renfrewshire primary school and early-years centre are over the moon after receiving a positive inspection from Education Scotland.

Mossvale Primary and early learning childcare class (ELCC) were assessed on learning, teaching and assessment and raising attainment and achievement.

As reported by the Express in April and May, the nursery achieved two 'very good' grades and the school one 'very good' and another 'good' grade.

The final report noted how confident inspectors are that the school has the capacity to continually improve.

Inspectors praised the strong, positive learning environment and the high levels of engagement children show in their learning.

Nursery children are described as motivated, curious and eager to explore and learn. They are considered to have a stimulating and exciting environment and developing well in their skills for life and learning.
