Midton put on a masterclass in Rd2 of the League Cup

DARTS Paisley & District Darts players participate in round two of this year's League Cup competition.

The 11 lucky teams that got a bye in the first round joined the five teams that won their first-round matches.

Game one saw Second Division high-flyers Bishopton Social Club take on The Midton, currently in the bottom half of Division One.

The first game went to The Midton 3-2, as did game two, and that seemed to knock the wind out of Bishopton’s sails as they went on to lose 5-0 to a rampant Midton team.

Their opponents in the quarterfinals would come from the game at Hashtag as Hashtag Bulls faced off against their pub mates Hashtag Bar, with the Bar team taking the initiative in the singles games as they led 4-2. But a spirited game from Kieran Walker and his partner Mark McKechnie gave the Bulls a bit of hope as they brought the score to 4-3 before Jason Haxton and Jamie McCabe for Hashtag Bar put the game beyond doubt with a 2-1 win. Game three saw Clippens Inn enter the competition as they faced first st round winners Pockets B, and it was the home team that got the better start, taking the first singles match.
