Largs blitzed by brilliant Burgh

Johnstone Burgh produced a five-star performance as they thrashed Largs Thistle to inch closer to securing the runners-up spot in the West of Scotland League Premier Division.

Along with netting a hatful, the Keanie Park faithful also saw the goals spread around the team with five different scorers.

It was the second meeting of three in the space of a month as Burgh look to take Saturday's showing into their second leg of the Junior Cup semi-final against the Seasiders on Sunday, May 18.

MacKinnon’s side need to overcome a 1-0 deficit from the first leg to set up a showdown with Lowland League side Tranent in the final.
