It's game on for new £1m play zone in centre

A contract for the £1 million transformation of a sports hall at Paisley's Lagoon Leisure Centre into a state-of-the-art play facility was given the go ahead yesterday.
Councillors approved awarding a delivery agreement for its design, supply and installation to Alliance Leisure Services.
Building works are expected to begin in April 2026 and take 15 weeks to complete after the £950,000 deal was rubber-stamped at a meeting of Renfrewshire Council's finance, resources and customer services policy board.
Councillor Graeme Clark, a Labour representative for Paisley Northeast and Ralston, said: "I'm delighted that we're going to effectively use the space in the Lagoon.
"It's in my ward so I'm really pleased about that."
