Greer elected as co-leader of Scottish Greens

Ross Greer has been elected as co-leader of the Scottish Greens alongside Gillian Mackay.

The pair replace Patrick Harvie, who did not seek reelection, and Lorna Slater, who was narrowly defeated in the leadership contest.
The West Scotland MSP and Paisley Daily Express columnist secured the leadership position following a closely fought contest with Green member Dominic Ashmole.
Greer - who has become the youngest leader of a party at Holyrood - promised to bring back the hope that many have lost following, he says, years of cuts and chaos from Westminster.
He said: "About a decade ago there was a real sense of hope in Scotland.
"People really believed that this could be that better, fairer, greener country.
"But that sense of hope has all but disappeared, and we should be honest about that.
