Green light given for new outbuilding at council's road depot

Plans to introduce a modular building containing office and welfare facilities at the Underwood Road depot in Paisley have been given the green light.
A bid for permission submitted by Portakabin Scotland on behalf of Renfrewshire Council has been granted, subject to conditions, by the planning department.
The outbuilding, which will be located on the west side of the site, is expected to consist of offices, a break-out area, drying room and toilet.
A report of handling by the chief planning officer explained: "The application seeks permission for welfare and office facilities for staff to be sited within the existing roads depot on an area of hardstanding used for bulk storage.
"At present some staff are based in containers located to the east of the salt storage.
