Fiasco sums up SNP government

If there is anything that sums up the car crash that is the Scottish Government it is the ferries fiasco.
Earlier this week, it was announced that the second of two ferries being built has had its delivery date put back by nine months and its cost has risen by up to £35 million.
This brings the cost of the two ships up to upwards of £460m which is four-and-a-halftimes the original contract price.
It's little wonder Scottish Labour’s transport spokesperson Claire Baker said “the SNP had failed islanders, taxpayers and shipyard workers”.
While being in government for the last 18 years, the SNP have had some spectacular failures but this must be up there amongst the worst of them.
I was lucky enough to attend two VE Day commemorations in Johnstone last week.
The first was held by staff in the Johnstone Day Centre. It was a great day and we heard first hand some memories of wartime.
