Councillors welcome 15-year lease deal for pharmacy approved

A pharmacy looks set to stay in the Spateston area of Johnstone for another 15 years after it was given the green light by Renfrewshire councillors.
Salwan Pharmacy Limited, which runs Reach Pharmacy in Hallhill Road, had its lease extension for the commercial unit approved by elected members.
The decision was confirmed at a meeting of Renfrewshire Council's infrastructure, land and environment policy board on Wednesday.
Councillor Iain McMillan, Labour group leader and a representative for Johnstone South and Elderslie, admitted he was "really glad" to see the pharmacy decide to prolong its stay in the area.
He said at the meeting: "I'm delighted to see this company continuing to invest in the Spateston area.
