Incident days before march
Detectives yesterday said they are "doing everything" they can to find the man who raped a woman in a Paisley park as they issue a fresh appeal for information.
The man who subjected his victim to “an appalling ordeal” - carried out the attack in Brodie Park on Sunday about 4.30am.
Officers said the woman did not require hospital treatment but had been left “extremely frightened”.
The suspect is described as white, in his early 20s and spoke with a local accent. He was wearing dark grey clothing.
In a statement issued yesterday - days before the launch of the Reclaim the Night campaign - detective inspector Nick Gribben said: “This was an appalling ordeal for the woman who has been left understandably very shaken.
“We appreciate the impact this has had in the local community and want to reassure them that we are doing everything we can to trace the man responsible.
