Prestigious trophies dished out to four local companies
Entertainment Musicians from Lowland Band provided an enjoyable mix of classic and contemporary tunes
Four Renfrewshire-based organisations have received a prestigious award from the Ministry of Defence, the Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Silver Award.
Representatives from Blairs Windows and Doors, JR Scaffold Services Ltd, McGill's Buses and Thermo Fisher Scientific were presented with the award at the Summerlee Museum of Scottish Industrial Life, alongside eighteen other organisations from across the Lowlands of Scotland.
Presenting the certificates on behalf of the Defence Secretary was Air Officer Scotland Air Commodore Mark Northover.
Air Commodore Northover paid a heartfelt tribute to this year's Silver Award winners, commenting: “This is a busy time for both our regular and reserve personnel, who are engaged in numerous operations and training exercises at home and abroad.
