Burgh poised to defend Communities Cup

Johnstone Burgh will be looking to continue their defence of the Scottish Communities Cup when they welcome Greenock Juniors this weekend.

The Scottish Communities Cup was until this year known as the Scottish Junior Cup, with the Burgh looking to win the competition for afourth time.

There will also be a Renfrewshire derby in the cup today as William Dyer’s Arthurlie host Jimmy Quigley’s Renfrew at Dunterlie Park.

The 'Lie have came out on top in the last three meetings between the sides, with a close encounter this season seeing the score finish 3-2 in the Barrhead club's favour.

Neilston will be on their travels in the Communities Cup as they head towards Tayside to take on Dundee Violet.
