Johnstone blast four past Threave Rovers to progress into second round of competition
Johnstone Burgh went marching on in the Scottish Cup after making history by wiping the floor with West of Scotland League (WoSFL) rivals Threave.
Aiden Gilmartin got the ball rolling in the first half before Ian McShane and Del Esplin netted either side of a Rovers own goal on Saturday.
This was the first-ever 'senior' Scottish Cup tie played at Keanie Park.
And the result ensured safe passage into the second round of the competition when Burgh will travel to East of Scotland League side Camelon Juniors.
During the warm-ups, Threave wore shirts paying tribute to former player Charlie Watson, who tragically passed away in June following a battle with skin cancer.
He was just 20 years old but has left an indelible mark on the game and the wider community.
Burgh were quick out the traps and early dominance paid off as they took an early lead through Gilmartin.
