Kilmacolm side defeated by bottom-table opponents
Birkmyre came away with no points at the weekend, losing away to bottom of the tableside Waysiders 27-19.
Having given the home side a 20-point lead at halftime, it was always going to be a tough ask despite Waysiders being reduced to 14 players early in the second half.
Waysiders opened the scoring with a penalty three minutes in from a kick in front of the posts.
Birkmyre had an opportunity to draw level five minutes later, but the kick from Lewis Higgins drifted left.
Waysiders then scored a try in the 18th minute, which they converted to extend their lead to 10 points.
However, only two minutes later, they received their first yellow card fora high tackle, reducing them to 14 players for 10 minutes.
Birkmyre couldn't take advantage and, in fact, saw yellow themselves five minutes later when Liam Nicholas was given 10 minutes in the stand for being offside close to his own goal line.
From the resulting penalty, Waysiders crashed over for their second converted try.
