A mum has shared her emotional journey after a Paisley charity helped her following the loss of her leg.
Toni Strachan has been able to rebuild her life following the help from Paisley-based charity Finding Your Feet, set up by Deputy Lieutenant of Renfrewshire Cor Hutton.
Following complications during childbirth, Toni developed pre-eclampsia shortly after giving birth to her daughter.
What began as a routine postnatal check spiralled into a medical emergency when blood clots formed in her abdomen and down her leg.
Surgeons attempted six operations to save the limb.
"I didn't know how to be a mum and an amputee," Toni said about the ordeal.
"They tried to save the leg but it couldn't be done.
"It was the beginning of three amputations.
"First, my toe then below the knee and, finally, sepsis meant it had to go above the knee.
"The first few weeks after the amputations, I struggled.
"I felt so down, so depressed. Life was so different. Everything had changed.
"I took solace in sitting ina corner in my house for quite a while.
