AIIMS lab attendant shot dead; man bludgeoned to death in Chandrasekharpur area
-
The Capital City woke up to two ghastly murders as assailants gunned down a laboratory attendant of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bhubaneswar, while another man, stated to be a construction worker, was killed with his head smashed under Chandrasekharpur police limits. The back-to-back incidents have raised serious questions over the law and order situation under the Commissionerate Police.
In the first incident, a young man was found murdered with his head crushed with a stone at Sailashree Vihar under Chandrasekharpur police station Monday. The unidentified body was found near Chunukoli slum. Police suspect that the man hailed from outside the state and worked as a daily wager. The incident came to the fore after locals spotted the body and informed the police, who reached the spot and sent the body to Capital Hospital for an autopsy.
