OTS scheme for pending e-challans goes online

The state government has introduced an online payment facility under the onetime settlement (OTS) scheme for pending traffic e-challans, enhancing convenience for citizens.
Initially applicable to offences under 17 sections of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, the OTS scheme has now been extended to 24 sections with the addition of seven more. Under the scheme, all e-challans issued on or before July 31, 2025, can be settled with up to 50 per cent relaxation in the penalty amount.
