Odisha to frame SOP for Ratna Bhandar inventory

The Odisha government is set to soon introduce a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to conduct a detailed inventory of the valuables stored in the Ratna Bhandar of the Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri. Law Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan said Sunday that preparatory measures for the long-awaited assessment of the temple's treasures have already commenced, marking a significant step toward the long-pending inventory exercise.
Harichandan said the inventory process will be carried out inside the Ratna Bhandar itself, and the SOP for this important exercise will be issued soon. He added that the procedure had been delayed due to the heavy rush of devotees during the holy month of Kartika, but the government plans to expedite the process once the Panchuka Brata period concludes.
