Govt restructures Fisheries and Horticulture cadres

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has approved the restructuring of the Odisha Fisheries Service and Odisha Horticulture Service cadres in what is likely to help strengthen the agricultural backbone of the state.
The move is aimed at accelerating development in these vital sectors and enhancing the livelihoods of farmers and rural communities.
As part of the restructuring, the Fisheries Service cadre has been expanded from 618 to 835 posts, with the addition of 217 new positions.
Most of these new roles will be deployed at the field level to improve implementation and monitoring of fisheries programs, a release by the Chief Minister's Office (CMO) said
